Lazarus Island (2018)
Translating an island
Opened on 25 January 2018 at the ArtScience Museum, MeshMinds 1.0: ArtxTechForGood showcased the results of four months of collaboration between over 20 Singapore artists and technology experts. Guests experienced stories told in virtual reality, viewed art through the lens of augmented reality, transported themselves into 3D printed worlds and made soundscapes using their voices and bodies.
In this project, I explored the use of 3d printing and the machines capabilities to distill the data to create a translated embodiment of lazarus island.

Lazarus Island
photogrammetry, digital renderings (2018)
These bodily forms take inspiration from the flora and fauna found around Lazarus island.
These forms are created to reflect a state of metamorphosis, mimicking a Chrysalis, blurring the boundary between what is discernible as the exterior and interior.
